85% vote first direct as 'Great' in the Moneysavingexpert.com customer service survey

In an unusual topic for a survey, MoneySavingExpert (MSE) polled its followers on their feelings for the worst customer service, rather than the best. We got the fewest votes meaning we came out on top in terms of the overall service we provide! Of the people surveyed, 85% of first direct customers voted us as 'Great'.

MSE have followed up this survey with a great report discussing customer service across the whole market, looking at the figures, some examples and some comments from the banks themselves.

When people voted, they could join a discussion thread too and have given some fantastic snippets of feedback for first direct .

"Been with first direct for well over 10 years now and I have to say I cannot fault them. Polite helpful staff, easy phone banking, excellent online banking."

"....website is the best I've used and their customer service is top notch."

"I've been with first direct for about 15 years and now both my parents and my partner have accounts with them after not being satisfied with the service they were getting with their banks."

"first direct are excellent, can't praise or recommend them enough when it comes to customer service." 

One follower took the time to tell MSE exactly how happy she is with first direct and shared a specific example of the amazing service delivered by Peter, a Team Leader in the Sales area. Pete helped set up accounts for the new customer and followed up a few weeks later to make sure that everything was in place and correct. To celebrate this great feedback, Pete was rewarded with a bottle of his favourite tipple....well done and thank you Pete!
